Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using Crux Interactive services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

Some features may include additional rules, prompts, plan limits, app-store terms, community guidelines, developer documentation, or purchase terms. Those additional terms apply to the features they describe.

When we update these Terms or the Privacy Policy, we may ask you inside Crux services to accept the update, or to acknowledge that you have seen it, before you continue. Accepting an update in any Crux service records your acceptance for all of them.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You may need a Crux ID to access account, AI, social, cloud, collaboration, support, game, or developer features. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, sessions, devices, and API keys secure.

• You must be at least 13 years old to create a Crux ID. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use the services only with permission from a parent or guardian, who may manage your account with family controls.
• You must provide accurate account information, including your age, and keep it current.
• You may not share, sell, rent, transfer, or misuse another user's account.
• You are responsible for activity under your account unless the activity results from our failure to use reasonable security measures.
• You should enable two-factor authentication where available, review new-device approval requests, and tell us promptly if you believe your account was compromised.

3. Rules of use

You agree not to misuse the services or help anyone else misuse them. Prohibited conduct includes:

• Violating law, infringing rights, impersonating others, or misrepresenting your identity or affiliation.
• Harassing, threatening, abusing, exploiting, doxxing, or targeting other users.
• Uploading malware, attempting unauthorized access, bypassing rate limits or access controls, scraping at abusive scale, or disrupting the services.
• Using the services to create, distribute, or request illegal, harmful, exploitative, deceptive, or rights-infringing content.
• Reverse engineering, copying, reselling, or using Crux Interactive software, models, APIs, or content except as allowed by law or by written permission.
• Using CruxAI or the developer API to make automated high-impact decisions about people without appropriate human review, notice, consent, and legal basis.

4. Your content and permissions

You keep ownership of content you submit, upload, create, or store through the services, subject to rights owned by others. You grant Crux Interactive a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, modify for technical formatting, and otherwise use your content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the services.

You are responsible for your content and must have the rights needed to upload or share it. Do not upload private, confidential, copyrighted, or sensitive information unless you have the right to do so and are comfortable with the way the selected feature works.

Public posts, comments, profiles, guild activity, shared cloud links, public game stats, and similar features may be visible to other users or link recipients depending on your settings.

5. CruxAI and AI outputs

CruxAI features can generate text, images, code, summaries, search-grounded answers, speech, and other outputs. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or unsuitable for your use case. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on, publishing, or using them.

• AI outputs are not professional legal, medical, financial, safety, or mental-health advice.
• Generated content may resemble existing content or outputs generated for other users.
• You may not use CruxAI to violate law, infringe rights, deceive people, generate harmful instructions, evade safety systems, or create abusive content.
• When you upload files, images, photos, camera frames, voice input, or location context, you authorize us and relevant providers to process that material to provide the requested AI feature.
• If you enable memory, auto-learn, Personal Context, connectors, web search, sandbox tools, or developer data sharing, you are responsible for the information you make available through those features.

Changes made through CruxAI. CruxAI can prepare changes to your Crux services, such as renaming, moving, or deleting Cloud files or creating Spaces tasks. Nothing changes until you confirm, and you are responsible for reviewing a proposed change before you confirm it. Changes in third-party apps you connect follow different rules, described in section 6.

Projects, Specialists, and working notes. A Project's instructions and reference files apply to every chat in that Project. A Specialist's instructions, guide, and reference files apply to every chat with that Specialist. You must have the rights to the material you add, and you should not put passwords, keys, or other secrets in it. CruxAI may keep working notes while it works and use them in later chats for you or for that Project. Specialists replace the earlier Apps feature; Apps created before then remain available read-only and may be removed later.

Model improvement and safety review. Whether your conversations may be used to improve CruxAI depends on your model-improvement setting, described in the Privacy Policy. To keep the services safe, automated systems check for abuse, and authorized staff may review a conversation under a documented, logged review case.

6. Agent tasks and connected apps

Agent tasks

Agent tasks let CruxAI work on longer, multi-step jobs in a cloud workspace, where it can run code, search and open websites, and create files. CruxAI saves the result and files to your chat.

• How tasks start. Depending on your setting, CruxAI suggests a task for you to confirm, starts one by itself when it decides a request needs it, or runs one only when you choose Agent task. Scheduled tasks run automatically at the times you set until you pause or delete them. You are responsible for tasks started from your account, including scheduled and automatic ones.
• Limits. Each task has a spending limit and stops when it reaches it, and agent tasks count against an allowance for your plan, which resets each period. Scheduled tasks require CruxAI+ and pause if your account no longer has it. Current limits are shown in Settings and may change.
• Review the results. Agent results, files, and code can be wrong or incomplete, and a task can stop before it finishes. Review them before you rely on, publish, or run them.
• Use agents responsibly. You may not use agent tasks to access websites or services without authorization or against their terms, to scrape at abusive scale, to attack or overload systems, to create accounts or post content in bulk, or for any activity prohibited in section 3. We may stop a task or turn off agent tasks for an account that creates security, abuse, cost, or legal risk.

Connected apps

In Settings › Connectors you can connect third-party apps so CruxAI can use them in chat. CruxAI uses each app's own server and acts with your account's access in that app.

• Read-only until you allow changes. When you first connect an app, CruxAI uses only the tools the app describes as read-only. If you turn on Allow changes, CruxAI may create, update, or delete data in that app as part of answering you, without asking you to confirm each change. Turn it on only for apps where that is acceptable to you. CruxAI relies on each app's own description of which tools only read data.
• Third-party terms apply. Each app is provided by its own company under its own terms and privacy policy, and its availability, features, and fees are outside our control. Listing an app in the directory is not an endorsement, and we may add or remove apps at any time.
• Apps you add by address. On CruxAI+, you can add an app by its server address. Add only servers you trust, since the server receives the requests CruxAI sends it and supplies content that CruxAI reads.
• Your responsibility. You are responsible for the data you make available through connected apps and for changes made in those apps while Allow changes is on. You can turn an app off or remove it at any time. Removing it from CruxAI does not revoke access granted in the app itself.

Agent tasks, connected apps, and Specialists are not available on managed (supervised) accounts.

7. CruxAI Site Builder and CruxApps hosting

CruxAI Site Builder can generate, edit, preview, run, and host websites or applications on CruxApps infrastructure. Projects may include source files, generated code, visual layouts, databases, member accounts, forms, uploads, server actions, third-party packages, custom domains, and other features you choose to enable.

• You control what you publish. Drafts are private to the project owner until you choose to publish them. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, backing up, and approving a project before making it available to visitors.
• You are responsible for your project. You must have rights to all project content, domains, trademarks, media, data, and integrations. You are responsible for your site's statements, accessibility, legal notices, consent flows, transactions, end-user support, and compliance with law.
• Hosted code has limits. We may apply storage, traffic, build, execution-time, memory, CPU, package, file-type, database, email, upload, model, and other limits. We may isolate, throttle, place into maintenance, unpublish, suspend, or remove a project that creates a security, abuse, legal, fraud, resource, or reliability risk.
• Malicious projects are prohibited. You may not use Site Builder or CruxApps hosting for phishing, credential theft, malware, spam, unauthorized surveillance, botnets, deceptive impersonation, exploitation, illegal marketplaces, rights infringement, or attacks on Crux Interactive, another project, or any third party.
• Site-user data requires care. If your project collects registrations, form submissions, uploads, analytics, or other personal information, you are responsible for providing required notices, obtaining required consent, limiting access, responding to end-user requests, and choosing appropriate retention settings.
• Protected values remain your responsibility. Use the designated protected-value interface for passwords, tokens, and service credentials. Do not place secrets in prompts, public files, client-side code, screenshots, or repositories. You are responsible for third-party charges and activity associated with credentials you provide.
• Custom domains require authorization. You may connect only a domain you own or are authorized to manage. DNS, certificate issuance, domain-provider behavior, propagation, and third-party outages may delay or interrupt a connection.

Agent builds work on a copy of your project and save their result as a new version. Your published site does not change until you choose to publish. Agent builds follow the agent-task limits in section 6.

Generated applications and code may contain errors or vulnerabilities and may not work for every device, browser, jurisdiction, or use case. Version history, previews, scans, automated checks, and CruxAI suggestions help with review but do not replace your own testing or professional review for sensitive or high-impact applications.

Free projects may carry Crux Interactive or CruxAI attribution and may be subject to a project-count limit. Paid plans may include additional models, capacity, hosting controls, or custom-domain features. Current limits and included features are shown in Site Builder and may change as the service evolves.

8. Crux Cloud, Connect, and community features

Crux Cloud is intended for files you are allowed to store and share. You are responsible for backing up important files. We may enforce file-size, quota, file-type, security, and sharing limits to protect the platform.

• Files are stored and shared unchanged, including embedded metadata such as photo location. Remove metadata you do not want to share before uploading or sharing a file.
• Anyone with a share link can access what it points to until you revoke it. Collaborators on a shared playlist can see and play the tracks in it.
• The Crux Cloud Vault requires your password and locks after inactivity. Keep your password secure; anyone who knows it can open your Vault.

Connect and other community services may include posts, comments, direct messages, reactions, guilds, reports, friends, blocks, status messages, Discord linking, public game stats, and similar social features. We may remove content, limit distribution, disable sharing links, restrict messaging, or suspend accounts when we believe content or conduct violates these Terms, feature rules, law, or user safety.

Reports, moderation records, security logs, and abuse-prevention information may be kept even if the related public content is removed.

9. Spaces, Calendar, Forms, Help Center, and News

• Crux Spaces. Content you add to a Space, including notes, tasks, messages, and linked files, is visible to that Space's members according to their roles. Space owners and admins manage membership and may remove content. Only invite people you are allowed to share the content with.
• Crux Calendar. Only invite people who expect to hear from you. Event details you share with invitees or through a shareable calendar link are visible to them. You are responsible for external calendar feeds you subscribe to.
• Crux Forms. If you create a form, you are responsible for the questions you ask and the responses you collect. Tell respondents how you will use their answers, obtain any consent the law requires, and do not use forms to collect passwords, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information unless you are allowed to and it is necessary. Forms may not be used for phishing, impersonation, or collecting information from children in violation of law.
• Help Center. Provide accurate information in support requests and do not include passwords or other secrets. Support staff may close inactive tickets. Guest ticket links let anyone who has them view the ticket, so keep them private.
• Crux News. Newsletters are sent only after you confirm your subscription, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

10. Developer API and integrations

If you use CruxAI APIs, API keys, workspaces, credits, or developer tools, you agree to follow the developer documentation, rate limits, model limits, safety requirements, and usage policies shown in the developer portal or API responses.

• API keys are secret credentials. You are responsible for securing them and for all usage charged to them until they are revoked or disabled.
• You may not resell or expose the APIs as a competing model service without written permission.
• You must provide appropriate notices and obtain required rights or consent before sending end-user data, personal data, images, or files to the APIs.
• We may throttle, suspend, revoke keys, or block requests that create security, abuse, billing, policy, or reliability risks.
• Prepaid credits, free-token allotments, caching, pricing, model availability, and limits may change as the service evolves.

11. Purchases, credits, and subscriptions

Paid features may include subscriptions, prepaid credits, API usage, image generation, storage, games, virtual items, or other purchases. Prices, taxes, limits, renewal terms, and cancellation options are shown where you buy or manage the feature.

• Payments may be processed by Stripe, Apple, or another payment provider, and their terms may also apply.
• Unless stated otherwise or required by law, purchases are final and non-refundable once delivered, consumed, or applied to your account.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date through the applicable account, billing, or app-store controls.
• Plan allowances, including agent-task allowances, reset at the start of each period, and unused allowance does not carry over.
• Credits and virtual items have no cash value, are not bank accounts or stored-value accounts, and may be limited to the service where they were issued.
• We may correct pricing, billing, credit, or usage errors and may suspend paid access for failed payments, chargebacks, fraud, or abuse.

12. Third-party services

The services may connect to or rely on third-party platforms, including Google, Apple, Discord, app stores, payment processors, AI providers, web search providers, email providers, hosting providers, and public APIs such as weather or mapping services. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, outages, policies, or fees.

When you authorize a connector or OAuth flow, including a connected app in Settings › Connectors, you are also agreeing to the applicable third-party terms for that service. Websites that agent tasks visit, and apps you connect, are third-party services.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as our services, providers, or legal requirements change. When we do, we update the dates at the top of this page. For material changes, we tell you inside Crux services before the changes take effect, and may also email you.

• Some updates ask you to acknowledge that you have seen them. By continuing to use the services after the effective date, you agree to the updated Terms.
• Some updates must be accepted before you can keep using the services. If you do not accept, you may sign out and stop using the services, and you can request account deletion or a copy of your data through Account Actions.
• We keep a record of each acceptance or acknowledgement, so you are not asked again on other Crux services.

14. Suspension and termination

We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue services or features at any time.

You may stop using the services at any time and may request account deletion through account tools or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for users or the platform, failed to pay, or used the services unlawfully.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, licenses needed to operate or protect the services, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions.

15. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, Crux Interactive disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, security, and uninterrupted operation.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Crux Interactive will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost content, business interruption, or substitute services. Our total liability for claims related to the services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Crux Interactive for the affected service in the three months before the claim or 100 USD.

Some places do not allow certain disclaimers or liability limits. In those places, the limits apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Crux Interactive from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by laws applicable to Crux Interactive in the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory law gives you additional rights.
